We got back from our week away in West Wales on Saturday, And I must say I'm not enjoying the city life, but I did miss Lidl a bit too much. We stayed on a caravan site in Saundersfoot which is about a ten minute drive from Tenby, home of pastel coloured everything. It was so nice to just get away from home and escape to a place with very little mobile phone signal or internet, although I did have internet, I didn't feel the need to use it as much. My time was much better spent scrambling around on rocks on the beach. I don't consider myself a sporty type but I really enjoy adventures and playing sports, even if my legs do ache after a sprint up the beach.

Tenby and Saundersfoot are such lovely places, the beaches are beautiful and when you're there you find it hard to believe you're in the UK. We were lucky enough to get really nice weather on our trip, resulting in lots of painful sunburn though (ouch).

I felt particularly inspired by all the pastel houses around me and one day dream of owning one, I love them so much I ended up creating the illustration above. Part of me wants to live in a small place when I'm older and I've found my feet, but part of me would miss the easy accessability and opportunities a city life offers. One thing I wish we had here in Newport is small independent shops like in Tenby and Saundersfoot, it means there are a lot more opportunities to sell things for creative types like me! And I would also like a cake shop like the one in Saundersfoot, because dayumm those cupcakes were good, and also really cheap.

Anyway, these are only a few photos. I've used up all my fujifilm instax film now so once I can be bothered to scan in I shall do a blog post with those photos.
