The Wild Rover

I got back from my surprise trip to Dublin on Friday night, I can't remember if I mentioned it on here, but me and my mum and dad were going along to surprise my sister who was going with her boyfriend,my other sister and her husband for her 30th birthday, we were originally going to go, but couldn't. So we kept it a secret up until we got to Bristol airport and had to hide from them and go up and down in the lift to avoid them, looking rather suspicious. I've always wanted to go to Ireland but have never really had the opportunity to go, my grandad who passed away when I was little was Irish and grew up just outside of Dublin, so we went to see where he lived which was lovely, and also met up my mums Irish cousin over there. I loved the music and culture so much, It's definitely in my blood somewhere haha! Here's some photos from the trip!

3.My first ever half pint of Guinness, and I actually like it now! I never thought I'd actually enjoy Guinness but it was lovely. And It's also good for me as I'm anemic and not taking my iron medicine (because I'm too lazy) So whenever i have a pint I can just say it's for medicinal purposes ;)

4.We visited Grafton street one of the days and walked past HMV and saw this sign, I thought they would've sold out of wristbands as we waited until the day before they were there to buy the CD, but they had wristbands left! And because I would've had to have gone in on my own they gave us a free wristband as well so someone could come in with me. They played 5 songs acoustic and then signed the albums. It was so lucky, as they're in my top 5 bands!

5.Meeting Two Door Cinema Club, Look at Sam Halliday smiling at the camera :3 They all asked how I was and i didn't even reply to them, I'm so crap when it comes down to meeting famous people

7.We went to The National Print Museum which was in the grounds that my grandad used to live in at a place called Beggars Bush, It was really interesting and they had all different types of printing there, like letterpress, I was excited when I came across fonts that i recognized, nerd.

All in all it was a really lovely trip, and I'll be going again, definitely! My sisters also met Ross Noble the comedian and THE SCRIPT in Dublin airport, they came home a day after us, so I missed them by a day, they were busking in Grafton street in the wall of fame, which makes sense as their new song is called 'hall of fame', i was so sad when I found out, they both have pictures with my future husband Danny O'donoghue!

OH, AND MY SISTER GOT ENGAGED SO I'M A BRIDESMAID! :D
