My very first A*

This week has been so stressful, and so crazy. I was stupid enough to book my second driving test the day before my A level results day, I failed, pretty much five minutes before the end of my test, but I'm not bothered about it, just the money side. The day after I received my A Level results, I was so nervous I actually thought I was going to be sick. I wanted an A in graphics and wasn't even sure I would achieve that, The pictures follow...

I'm late posting this week, because if I'm honest I just really couldn't be bothered haha, But it always happened, when i have lots to post about it all comes at the same time and I'm unable to post it all. So there's going to have to be a bit of everything in each post today.

So on Thursday I received my A Level results, It was a nervewracking day, even though I already had my place secured in university. I opened the envelope and saw A* and genuinely couldn't believe my eyes. I got an A* in graphics!! So all the hard work, dinner times spent in the library on the macs, endless romantic nights in with my sketchbook paid off! And I'm so extremely happy about it. I was predicted an A and my teachers said they didn't even dare mark me as A* for my predicted grade because the exam board would question the high mark. But it turns out when the moderators marked my work they gave me full marks!! Anyway, enough about graphics. My results overall were:
Graphics A*,Photography B, Media Studies C
It's everything I wanted and more, so I can't be happier. Me and my friends of course went out to celebrate in the night, and it was a great night, I'm so proud of them all for getting into their chosen universities!

When I woke up the day after results (with no hangover, hooray!) my mum and dad had bought me this cake and two strawberry cupcakes and left me a little congratulations note, which was so sweet of them. I also had money from my nan and some money from my sister so yesterday I went to Bristol to go on a shopping spree to look for stuff to tick off the uni equipment list and to buy some clothes and stuff for uni. I really went to Bristol to the See No Evil street art festival, but that will follow in another post, as there's too much to talk about!

I got two of these jersey/jumper style tops which feel really lovely quality, the bird print one and the navy and white striped one, they were only £6 from Primark, and they had lots of other styles, like one with an owl on.

Two tote bags which I thought would be useful for when I start uni, for putting my sketchbooks and art supplies in, because they're pretty strong. I do actually like The Ramones, but the fact I have a Ramones bag, people are going to think I'm just another one of those silly teenage hipster girls that has no idea who they are. The Ramones bag was £3.50 and the adorable fox face bag was £1.50

I also bought some black skinny jeans which were reduced down to £5. They didn't have many sizes left so I need to try and stretch these, as my legs can hardly move in them! But I know Primark jeans stretch really badly after a few washes.

Despite failing my driving test I'm feeling really positive about this week, I can't wait to start university, even though I am a becoming a little bit nervous now as it's all suddenly starting to seem real with all the information packs being sent out!

I hope everyone got what they wanted in their results, and if anyone has yet to receive any results then good luck! If you didn't get what you wanted just remember that It's not the end of the world and you have plenty of options! There's so much pressure to get into certain universities, it's ridiculous!
